Paul and Jean Dobbing
Paul and Jean are CMS mission partners working in Nepal with the United Mission to Nepal. Paul
uses his ICT skills and Jean her education and community
work skills.
They believe that education (including training, mentoring,
coaching and facilititating) can empower and motivate people
to change their situations. Many people in Nepal experience
great poverty, for a variety of reasons. Paul and Jean want
to use their skills to give opportunity to Nepali people,
and encourage holistic change in the name and Spirit of Chriist.
Paul and Jean were married in July 2004.
They met whilst serving with CMS in 1999. Jean was a mission
partner in Nepal, teaching history and religious education
at the Kathmandu International Study Centre. Paul came to
teach computing on a CMS "Make a Difference" placement.
They both found their time in Nepal with CMS a fulfilling
and enriching experience. They are impressed by the mission
work there and are also challenged by the many physical and
spiritual needs of the country.
