Welcome to our village website - we hope you enjoy taking a look around. You’ll find the details of local groups and activities, lots of photos from village life going back many years, and some inspiration for exploring and finding out more about our local area with some great walks, cycle routes and history pages.
Speldhurst is a thriving village, nestled within the Kent countryside. We’re a short distance from Tunbridge Wells, and so perfectly placed to take advantage of all that the town has to offer - great shops, cafes, restaurants and schools, to name but a few.
Speldhurst itself has an acclaimed (Ofsted rated 'outstanding') primary school and a community run shop and post office which has recently moved to the fabulously restored chapel. The village also has a 13th Century pub (The George and Dragon) and a church (St Mary's) with a ring of 8 bells and some fabulous Morris & Co stained glass windows designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones. The famous Speldhurst sausage originated from the village, and is still produced locally.
